Week 1: Introduction & Acknowledging Your Feelings
Objective: Begin by creating a safe space to express your emotions and understand the different feelings that come with breakups and divorces.
Activities: Group discussion, journaling exercise (writing a letter to yourself), and sharing experiences.
Week 2: Understanding Grief and Loss
Objective: Learn to identify and navigate the stages of grief, from denial to acceptance.
Activities: Guided meditation, emotional reflection exercise, and group sharing about where everyone is in their healing process.
Week 3: Rebuilding Self-Worth and Identity
Objective: Rediscover your sense of self and rebuild your self-worth post-relationship.
Activities: Strengths inventory activity, group discussions on rediscovering your passions, and self-love exercises.
Week 4: Letting Go of the Past
Objective: Release past hurts, anger, and guilt by learning to forgive yourself and others.
Activities: Guided visualization for letting go, writing forgiveness letters, and group sharing on emotional release.
Week 5: Setting Boundaries and Managing Communication
Objective: Establish healthy boundaries with your ex (if applicable) and figure out how to communicate post-breakup.
Activities: Role-playing boundary-setting scenarios, group discussions on challenges and solutions, and exploring how to handle social media and mutual friends.
