Mindfulness Practices
Support for stress, anxiety, overthinking, and relationship challenges—at a pace that respects your experience. Malisa Komolthiti, LMFT, IMFT, offers online therapy for clients in Ohio, California, Indiana, Nevada, and Arizona.
A thoughtful approach, grounded in experience
Malisa completed Harvard training in Mindfulness and Compassion: Enhancing Clinical Practice and Personal Wellbeing and brings 30 years of personal mindfulness practice to her work. Her approach connects therapeutic conversation with practical ways to notice thoughts, feelings, and reactions in everyday life.
Who may find this approach a good fit?
Adults feeling overwhelmed by stress or worry. You may want a space to explore recurring thoughts, respond more intentionally, and develop coping skills that fit your life.
People navigating a breakup, grief, or a life transition. Therapy can provide space to talk about what has changed and identify what matters to you as you move forward.
Couples caught in reactive communication patterns. Malisa works with couples seeking greater awareness of their reactions, more thoughtful communication, and a clearer understanding of their relationship.
People already interested in mindfulness—or curious about trying it. You do not need meditation experience. You can discuss whether mindfulness exercises feel appropriate for your needs and preferences.
What can mindfulness look like in a therapy session?
Depending on your goals and comfort, sessions may include noticing patterns of thought, pausing before reacting, paying attention to emotions and physical sensations, or practicing grounding and present-moment awareness. Mindfulness is one part of an individualized therapy approach, not a requirement to meditate or a promise of a particular result. You can ask to adapt an exercise or choose another approach.
Online appointments in five states
Malisa serves clients physically located in Ohio, California, Indiana, Nevada, and Arizona. All therapy appointments are online. Let us know where you will be during sessions, your availability, and whether you want individual, couples, or family therapy. Looking for teen therapy or Ohio Medicaid options?
Our Ohio team also includes Alisa Komolthiti, LSW, and Mary Beth Dew, MFT. Both practice in Ohio under supervisor Malisa Komolthiti. Ask about teen counseling with Alisa or a suitable appointment with Mary Beth. Malisa’s mindfulness training and personal practice described on this page are her own; they do not describe every team member’s training.
Our practice works with participating Ohio Medicaid plans, including Buckeye, CareSource, Molina, UnitedHealthcare, and Aetna. Coverage varies by exact plan, therapist, and service and must be confirmed before a covered appointment. Couples counseling is not automatically a covered benefit.
